In detail
An open C-shaped band that slides sideways onto the outer rim of the ear and holds by its own spring. Nothing passes through the skin, so this is not a piercing product and the nickel release limit that applies is the one for prolonged skin contact, not the piercing limit. Fits rim thicknesses of roughly 1.5 to 3 mm.
Looking after it
Slide it on and off from the edge rather than prising the gap open, which weakens the spring.
