In detail

The stone is cubic zirconia, named as such — it is not a diamond and we do not describe it as one. It is set in a rub-over bezel, meaning the gold wraps the girdle of the stone rather than holding it in claws, so there is nothing to snag on knitwear. Post is 0.8 mm across, 9 mm long. At 0.6 g per piece it is below the 1 g gold exemption weight and carries no hallmark.

Looking after it

Clean around the bezel with a soft brush and warm soapy water. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners.
